Revival

London has experienced powerful moves of God. Charles Spurgeon regularly preached to 1000s and saw the Holy Spirit convicting many of their need for repentance. When visiting an empty Crystal Palace he declared “Behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!” to try out the acoustics. Two men working on the roof were so overcome that weeping they asked what they had to do to be saved.

London has a great heritage. Wesley felt “strangely warmed” at a Moravian prayer meeting in the City, Whitfield, Moody & Sankey, Billy Graham have all seen parts of the city awakened in their time. Isn’t it time for that to happen again?

This summer there is a window of opportunity for London and there is also plenty of action! So let’s add our prayers to the mix and see what our God would do. It’s time for a change and it’s time for London.

Prayer points.

• Consider fasting today or over the weekend as part of your prayer.
• Pray that the Holy Spirit would move powerfully in London convicting of sin and bringing wholeness to people - body, soul and spirit
• Pray that once again the talk of London would be about what God is doing in the City
• Pray that there would be a change in society that would cause people to be drawn to God in large numbers
• Pray that the church in London would be known for the Presence of God
• Take the scriptures references above and use them to direct your prayers
• Cry out to our God of Grave to in his mercy to touch London and His people in it.
• Ask God to forgive us as His Church where we have been indifferent to the city’s needs and not represented Him accurately to the world
• If you are able, get a map of London and pray for different areas of the city. Pray for the churches there to be filled with His presence and for the lost there is become hungry for God.
