Transport
Transport is a major element of London life. It is the vital link to the city for thousands of commuters who enter London every day. It is also vital for London’s wider links; Heathrow airport remains the busiest international airport in the world and together with London’s other airports reflects London’s role as a World City.
Many of us may have experienced the frustration that results from the chaos created by a part of London’s transport system failing to run properly. The smooth running of London’s transport system is not only vital for its economy but for many residents who rely upon it.
We need to prayerfully watch over London’s transport system. There are patterns of recurring accidents in particular areas which are not explained by particular road or rail conditions. Significant Church events in the past have been severely disrupted by transport system failure on that day which has prevented them from having their full impact. This is an arena for spiritual conflict and we must decree that such obstruction will not occur.
Key scripture references.
Ephesians 6:12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.

| London Prayer.Net | 25/06/2004, 06:48 | | This article was written over a month ago before the current industrial action on the tubes had been announced. Do pray into this it is a current issue that needs addressing, we can't allow tube strikes (like the one planned for 29 June to occur during SitC. Thanks.
| | Daniel Thomas | 26/06/2004, 19:51 | | Hey, we prayed today about transport and there was a train accident between a car and a train at 90mph. Noone was hurt! See http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/london/3842315.stm God answers prayer!!!
| | Mary Frances Mc ALL | 12/08/2005, 15:37 | | We pray for the London Airport action to be resolved immediately. Food workers jobs, as important as they are, must not be permittted to disrupt the business activities and inconvience multiplied thousands of individuals. Let's just bring our own dinners on flights! Best stuff comes from home, anyway. Cheers.
| | Jean Faulkner | 23/08/2005, 09:17 | | In reply to the disputes at London Airport-Yes- may we not be ruled by our stomachs but that our food be the Word of God. Maybe they should replace hot meals with Bibles!!
