Violence

London has a long and bloody history and although the patterns of violence may not be new they are still visible today.

Pray for peace within the city and that violence would not occur any longer. Use the following scripture and areas for application to help your prayers.

Isaiah 60:18

Violence shall no longer be heard in your land,

Neither wasting nor destruction within your borders;

But you shall call your walls Salvation,

And your gates Praise.

Prayer Points

• Help establish those gates through a time of praise
• Pray for those in violent relationships
• Pray for a reduction in violent crime, especially
  • Street crime especially muggings
  • Gun crime
• Pray for a reduction in violence within cummunities, for example
  • Between youth gangs
  • Racially motivated violence
• Pray for that wall of salvation to be built, for salvation of those involved in violence
• Pray for God's peace to be seen within London
• Pray for a new unity between those who have previously been divided
