Global Day of Prayer 2007 Strategy

The various events that took place during the last Global Day of Prayer were a wonderful celebration of unity, but if that is all it were it would have not been a success. The Global Day of Prayer aims to bring change to our nations. In order to achieve this there is wider strategy that goes beyond the single day of prayer.

There are three elements to the Global Day of Prayer:

• 10 days of 24/7 Prayer and Fasting around the globe will lead up to the Global Day of Prayer.
• The day of prayer itself, and
• Following this, a period of 90 days of mercy ministry will endeavour to translate prayer into action towards the transformation of cities, communities, tribes and nations.

In London plans are underway to take this opportunity one step further and to use the event as a catalyst for continuous cross-demoninational London-wide prayer. In 2007 churches are signing up to take responsibility for a day (24 hours) of prayer. As churches across London do this 2007 we will experience a unbroken cry of prayer of "Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done" in London.
